…aka hummus…

In Israel they will yell at you for not pronouncing the CHHH sound as if you’re clearing your throat… But here in America, I will now present my recipe for Hummus!

**I reused my old hummus container for my homemade hummus…

Tahini Hummus


  • 1 can garbanzo beans- drained but not rinsed, juices reserved
  • 2 Tbs sesame tahini
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ~3 Tbs olive oil
  • ~2 Tbs garbanzo bean “can juice”
  • salt, pepper to taste

Method: Combine all ingredients except olive oil in food processor and process until creamy. Drizzle olive oil in slowly, tasting along the way for creamy texture and flavor alike. Use this dip for your favorite veggies, as a spread on sandwiches, on top of burgers…pretty much hummus goes well with anything if you ask me!
