Tomatillo Salsa

It all started with a tomatillo

…Or actually a whole bunch. My dad was gonna use them in a recipe, but instead he did something else. Therefore, they were mine to play with! There was also an onion, and some garlic, and a jalepeno.

And a recipe for tomatillo salsa.

So I got to work.

This is what a tomatillo looks peeled of its husk.

And this is what its insides look like:

Peeled and rinsed:

Placed on a baking sheet with olive oil, salt, pepper.

Baked at 400 for 30 minutes.

Ok you can actually see that flavor!

Add to blender with jalepeno.

I added lime juice and seasoned with more salt and pepper.

Now where are the chips?

There you have it. My first go at Tomatillo Salsa. Yum!
