Honey Curry Hummus

I finally got around to making hummus this summer! What took me so long!? It takes like 2 minutes to make! Oh well…

The kind I tried is Honey Curry Hummus, just to spice things up a bit. It’s from The Edible Perspective. But as usual I tweaked it a bit.

Start with chickpeas

Honey Curry Hummus

This hummus is a bit sweet, and it definitely has a kick. If you’re a curry lover like I am, you’ll like this twist on hummus. Eat it with chips, carrots, cucumbers, or by the spoonful!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans of chickpeas, drained, unrinsed
  • 2 Tbs curry powder
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 Tbs sesame tahini
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • water added until your desired creaminess (about 1/2 cup)

Directions: First put the 2 cloves of garlic in your food processor. Process until minced. Scrape down sides of bowl. Add your chickpeas, spices, honey, tahini, and some water. Process until creamy. You may have to scrape down the side of the bowl a few times with a rubber spatula. Add more water if it’s still not creamy enough. Add salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
