Gingerbread Houses and Christmas Stuff

It was quite the process, but completely worth it. My friends and I created a gingerbread house from scratch to celebrate this holiday season. We made everything from the walls to the icing- and we decorated too. The part I am proudest of: The stained glass windows, made of crushed lifesavers candy that melted from the heat of the oven and re-hardened as a beautiful addition to the cute house. The hardest part was probably keeping the roof up without it sliding- we used a blow drier (failure) and blew on it (failure) and finally I just held it for a while till the icing set enough. The whole project took about 5 hours! I think it’s safe to say we ate more candy than we used, but it was a lot of fun, and take a look at the final product! I’d say it was a success- and I hope it will soon become a tradition!

As far as Christmas and Christmas Cookies go…

^^We have a LOT going on.^^
And look what happened to the Ginger Bread House…
Maybe this will become a tradition as well. 🙂
Merry Christmas!
